A Day in the Life
This is an exciting opportunity to join Medtronic’s organization as a Project Coordinator supporting critical operations in Puerto Rico and Global. In this role, you will partner across departments, serve as the key contact for some government agency coordination, and ensure timely execution of payments and permits essential to manufacturing, logistics, and infrastructure support. You will also be the local contact for community engagement and philanthropic activities, playing a visible role in the company’s social responsibility initiatives.
This hybrid role is based in Juncos, Puerto Rico and reports to the Senior Finance Leader, Global Supply Chain. On-site presence is required to support key logistical or activities.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Provides project or program support to a functional group or business process.
- Monitors program/project/system status, budgets and timetables.
- Serve as point of contact with Puerto Rico government agencies; manage and track permits, license renewals, and other compliance-related processes.
- Coordinate utility, fleet, IT service, and communication payments across the Puerto Rico sites, including GFAP uploads and check requests.
- Liaise with vendors and support onboarding of new suppliers; ensure proper documentation and payment processing through ReadSoft and other tools.
- Provide coordination and logistical support for local transportation, site leadership, and finance leadership visits.
- Support finance operations through bank deposits, PO creation, and AP reporting.
- Lead the volunteer program and coordinate philanthropic and community partnerships across Puerto Rico manufacturing sites.
- Serve as the liaison between Medtronic and professional sports teams or city initiatives where sponsorship/support is in place.
- Support explosive license tracking and renewal processes in collaboration with local site teams.
- Provide administrative and project support to the Puerto Rico Manufacturing sites, Freight, Transportation, and Distribution finance teams.
- Contribute to cost reduction initiatives through process efficiency and vendor management support.
- Provide logistic and direct support to the Senior Finance Leader
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Nice to Have:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience working with government agencies in Puerto Rico.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or support community engagement programs.
- Bilingual: Spanish and English fluency.
