The Cranial Spine business at Medtronic develops life-restoring technologies and solutions to treat diseases in the areas of Neurosciences, Neurosurgery and Spine. Our therapies span the care continuum; from early interventional procedures to implantable surgical.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Promotes and sells Medtronic's Pharma/Device products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets
- Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including physicians, institutions, payers, and other medical staff
- Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's Pharma/Device products and/or services
- Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services
- Conducts and/or evaluates market research including customers and competitors activities
- Develops and/or implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed
- Assesses customer needs and feedback regarding new products and/or modifications to existing products and communicates to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing
- Establishes effective relationships and collaborates with other departments (Marketing, Finance, HR, Sales Training, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, Life-science, Marketing, Business Administration or Biology or another relevant, advanced degree
- Experience from the medical (device) industry or in a hospital operation room environment
- Proven ability to operate in a matrix environment and work effectively with sales force, physicians, nurses and hospital technicians in an operating room setting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects/duties as well as contributing to a larger team
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively build relationships with a wide range of people and personalities, mainly at operational level in hospitals
- Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule and in possession of a valid driver’s license
